Winter is Here

Its soooo cold now! Winter is definately here and the motivation to go out in the cold to go training is hard to find.

However I am so pleased with how both my dogs are working. Detour continues to improve, his focus is really good and I have finally got him back working in a class enviroment, he is quite nervous about it but will hold his waits and play well even with that. 2x2s and contacts are going well. I was really pleased that when we went to the park yesterday, he kept focus and weaved six straight poles there too! He cant however stick to criteria with his running contacts and I cant do any weaves as they are using channels so, I find myself doing very little. The first week I managed about six jumps in a curve and this week just two straight lines, but, the experience of a class is invaluable! I think although I find the whole thing hard work and quite dissillisioning at times, it is worth it, and Detour needs it.

Hoaxey is a star at the moment and I am really enjoying working her, she is so much fun and really is so wonderful right now. Ha Ha, just re read that and think you all got the drift that I am having fun with her!
