We trained with Toni Dawkins on Friday, I LOVE to train with Toni so worked both my dogs and I was not dissapointed...
Toni had a huge bunch of G7 handlers, some Novices and one or two very new handlers, as always she engaged every single person, made them feel worthwhile and shared ideas, knowledge and even some funny turn things ;-) Every person said the sessions flew by and they all took new ideas home with them. There are many people running training days and so on, but not all of them are asked to revisit time and time again. Toni is so likable, has so many great training methods and knows how to enertain a training group. I loved watching how much everyone enjoyed it.
I was really pleased with both BabyD and Hoxey and have put a little vid of DD on here (I am wearing a black top with white strips down the side) he was lovely but dont be fooled, he looks a lot faster on video than he is ha ha :)
The things I really took away with Detour is: I can nearly work everything I need with one jump: Great Go Ons- Throw toy be loud! Wraps: throw toy tightly round wing- be quiet! Pivots: Work far wing of jump. Also using a cone/ wing for startlines. Use 'D' for keeping him tight on a wrap!
Hoaxey: Stay Close for pivot turns (using far wing again), keep distance for wraps. Quiet for turns. Loud for Go Ons. Drive the lines and dont hang on the turns for too long.
There was so much more aswell but I dont want to give all Tonis secrets away ;-)

Thanks Rosie, yes I am really pleased with my boy. He is really lovely and it's a bit like training Boo again but slightly more freaky, just as willing :)
